Well, they are not that frequent, those questions. But it gives us an opportunity to explain our philosophy.
Why do you do this?
We believe that the Luxembourg fund industry has moved perilously far arway from its basis: Investing other peoples’ money. At the same time the requirements to the Investment Fund Managers is growing. Only knowledge can close that gap.
How are courses organised?
It is very simple. We work in groups that rarely exceed 4 persons in order to keep it personal and to further a professional discussion. Zoom and Teams work, too. Each participant receives the course material before the course and a afterwards certificate to prove their participation.
Who should participate?
Even the board members do not know everything about investment funds. Neither do the most recent employee. So we believe that staff from every level in a fund organisation can profit from leaning back and absorb some knowledge.
Who are the teachers?
We seek out veterans from the fund industry, ideally with experience from several of the specialist areas. Sometimes we also find an external specialist willing to share his or her knowledge.
Tailor made courses?
If your organisation has a specific need, such as training in the intricacies of investing or how to actually describe an investment process, contact us so we can arrange a session for your staff alone. At the right price, of course.
What about the big consulting firms?
Sure, the big 4 or 5 have a lot of knowledge. But they rarely have experieence from the inside of an IFM or an asset management firm. We believe hands-on knowledge is particularly valuable.
